On Sunday, December 22, a startling incident unfolded at Allu Arjun’s residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, when a group of eight individuals, reportedly affiliated with Osmania University, launched an aggressive assault on the property. They vandalized the premises, brandished protest placards, burned an effigy of the actor, and shattered plant pots, resulting in considerable damage. During the chaos, the children of Allu Arjun, Ayaan and Arha were hurriedly evacuated for their safety.
Allu Arjun’s children whisked away during attack
The attackers orchestrated this protest to demand Rs 1 crore in compensation for the family of a woman named Revathi, who tragically lost her life in a stampede on December 4. This unfortunate event occurred at Sandhya Theatre, where Allu Arjun had attended the premiere of his film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. Additionally, Revathi’s nine-year-old son, Sri Tej, was critically injured in the stampede and is currently under medical care.

Allu Arjun’s father reacts
Allu Arjun’s father, Allu Aravind, spoke to the media outside their home, denouncing the violent actions. He stated, “Everyone has witnessed what occurred at our house today. We must respond appropriately. This is not the right moment for hasty reactions. The police have apprehended the vandals and initiated legal proceedings against them. Officers are stationed near my home to prevent further disturbances. We must not endorse such behaviour; it’s time for restraint. The law will take its course.”
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also condemned the attack on the actor’s residence. He expressed his outrage on social media, stating, “I condemn the attack on the homes of film celebrities. I am instructing the State DGP and City Police Commissioner to enforce strict measures regarding law and order. No leniency will be tolerated. Senior officials must ensure that police personnel not involved in the Sandhya Theatre incident do not respond.”
8 people have been held responsible
Following the assault, law enforcement acted promptly, detaining the eight individuals responsible and filing charges against them. Additional police presence was established around the actor’s home to avert any further incidents.
This unrest traces back to the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre on December 4, which resulted in Revathi’s death and severe injuries to her son. Despite Allu Arjun not being directly accountable for the catastrophe, the protesters directed their grievances toward him, leading to their demands for compensation. Although he was briefly detained in connection with the incident, he was subsequently granted bail by the Telangana High Court.
